Danubiana modern art museum - 20 kilometres south of Bratislava at the edge of a peninsula in the middle of the great Danube you will find one of Europe’s youngest Museums of Modern Art – Danubiana. A place where the water level gives a freedom of expression and creativity for today’s artists.
A visit to the gallery itself is an inspiring experience. The unusual location at the border of three countries – Slovakia, Austria and Hungary and the specific contrast of the wide water way, high sky and endless banks of dams create the framework of powerful architecture evoking shapes of a roman gallery placed at the waters edge. The architecture in its diversity gives the opportunity for several exhibition programs.
